Looking for an authentic winter holiday in Finland away from crowded tourist resorts? Our guided winter tours take you deep into the snowy wilderness of north-eastern Finland. Most of our tours are based in the Hossa National Park and Kylmäluoma Hiking Area, both surrounded by wilderness regions, where nature remains largely untouched and visitor numbers are low.

From December to early April our area is blanketed by some of the deepest snow in Finland, providing a long season for a variety of winter activities and tours.

Whether you choose a guided cross-country ski tour, a backcountry skiing tour, a snowshoeing holiday or a multi-activity week, you will experience Finland’s winter nature at its purest. Small international groups, experienced guides and carefully planned itineraries ensure a safe and memorable journey.

Multi-activity holidays start around Christmas and continue throughout the winter season until early April. Snowshoeing holidays run from January until late March. Cross-country skiing and backcountry skiing tours are available from early February until early April, when snow conditions are typically at their best and daylight hours are increasing throughout the season.

All tours are fully guided and include full-board. On point-to-point tours, luggage transfers are provided, allowing you to focus entirely on enjoying your winter adventure.

Worried about the cold?
Many travellers are surprised by how comfortable winter can feel in Finland. Even when temperatures occasionally drop below -25°C, the dry continental climate makes the cold easier to enjoy than many visitors expect. With proper winter clothing and guidance from our experienced tour leaders, outdoor activities remain enjoyable throughout the season.
