Ski tour on the Russian border / Itärajan hiihtovaellus

Jos haluat stressitöntä huoltovapaata ulkoilua/kuntoilua Itärajan hiihtovaellus on sitä. Ystävälliset ihmiset, hyvä palvelu. Ei välttämättä tarvitse rehkiä rinkan kanssa Lapissa.

A good tour, very good organized with good and nice guides. Some days heavy because the distancce. Afterwards I can say it was a pleasant week.

This was sometimes a tour in "wonderland" because of the thick snowlayers on the trees, beautiful to see!!! For a Dutch person, it is great to go trough an area without people, just the group of cross-country ski people. The Finn-people we met were all very friendly! And the night in Kovavaara will be remembered. The thick snow, the many stars, the nice old buildings, the sauna!

Well planned tours, very good guided. Nice places to rest with fire and good food. Friendly guides always offering help. Guides explain a lot of things about nature, culture and history.

Kalevala Ski Tour / Kalevala-hiihto

The tour started for us with a trip. The distance was 45 km which we never had trained. So the first day was hard for us. Second day and the rest of the week was the distance good. We loved to ski without other people, just on your own with all the environment at that moment. It was a great experience.  Thank you and your staff for this trip.

Off the trails / Lumikenkävaellus Hossassa

The walking was spectacular, the pace was good  and level of challenge was comfortable. The scenery was fantastic and different every day. The lodges were very comfortable and the sauna quite an experience especially when by candlelight. The cold was quite a challenge but once you get moving it became an insignificant issue.

We came on the trip having had only a couple of hours experience snow walking. Everything was very well organized. We did a lot but were never hurried. The scenery was amazing and it showed us another way of life. We would recommend this trip to anyone.

Winter fun in Finland

My son and I had a terrific week in the Finnish snow. Our guide Urpo made it pleasant ad all time save for the both of us, as well as for the rest of the group we were travelling with. According to the weather conditions we experienced a great deal of flexibility within the program, eg. there was a lot of cold wind and heavy snow fall when a husky sledge tour was on the program, it was rapidly changed into a visit to a reindeer farm. However that meant that a few days later and additional bus drive was needed to take the group to and from the husky farm that was – on the day we went – 80 kms from our accommodation. And when your hotel has a “road view” at one side, and a lake view at the other, with Upitrek you’ll have the lake view! Also on behalf of my son many thanks for a great holiday!

Hiking tour along the Russian border / Patikkavaellus Venäjän rajalla

Nice trekking in good atmosphere through beautiful areas of Finland during one week in August. I recommend it for everyone. I will come back in winter.

Un viaje prefecto si lo que buscas es tranquilidad, renovación de cuerpo y mente y un poco de aventura. Los paisajes son espectaculares, los lagos maravillosos (sobre todo para refrescarse entre sesiones de sauna) y en los bosques parece que va a salir un gnomo debajo de cada seta entre los arándanos. I have never done a trip like this before, so I didn’t quite know what to expect. Our guide was very re-assuring though and seemed to work non-stop to make everything run smoothly. The different nationalities of the other travellers made it more interesting and being in their company was for me the best part of it.
