Finland is a winter wonderland and in this tour you will experience many great things it has to offer. Hossa area, in north-eastern Finland, close to the Russian border is the stage for this week. In Hossa you can enjoy the extreme tranquility and snow-white scenery far away from the tourist masses. The remote woodland of the area is home for many wild animals and at least some reindeer will be seen during the week as well as plenty of tracks on the snow. With some good luck you will be able to admire the magical northern lights as well. In the evenigs you can enjoy the genuine Finnish sauna and local food delicacies.

A wintry activity week in Kajaani.
|
This active week will acquaint you with various winter activities in the area of Kainuu, in eastern Finland. The accommodation will be for the whole week in the small family-run hotel called “Karolineburg” situated in a tranquil spot within 5 minutes’ walk from the Kajaani town centre. All the activities will take place whether near Kajaani or in Vuokatti situated within 35 minutes’ drive from the hotel.
The organized activities last normally until 3 or 4 pm and if you still feel like doing more exercise you can do it on your own because everybody will have cross-country skis and snowshoes at disposal for the whole week. The closest illuminated skiing track is situated only 200 metres from the hotel and the forest is ideal for the snowshoeing as well. |
